#### Instructions for the Tabernacle: Exodus 24-27

**Key verse(s):**

- "Then the <span class="small-caps divine-name">Lord</span> said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them." Exodus 24:12

**Comments:**

- God called Moses to go up on the mountain. Nadab and Abihu are Aaron's sons. They did not please the Lord by offering profane fire before the <span class="small-caps divine-name">Lord (Leviticus 10)</span>
- <span class="small-caps divine-name">Moses will meet God alone by himself. But the people that went up with him represented the congregation so they don't feel the lack of communion with God:</span>
    - <span class="small-caps divine-name">Moses receiver of the Law.</span>
    - <span class="small-caps divine-name">Aaron represents the priesthood.</span>
    - <span class="small-caps divine-name">Nadab and Abihu represent the priests and the Levites.</span>
    - <span class="small-caps divine-name">The seventy of the elders of Israel: Leaders of the congregation.</span>
- <span class="small-caps divine-name"><span class="small-caps divine-name">Joshua</span></span><span class="small-caps divine-name">going up with Moses shows the life of discipleship.</span>
- <span class="small-caps divine-name">The Cloud represented the presence of God.</span>
- <span class="small-caps divine-name"><span class="small-caps divine-name">Chapter 25 includes the o<span class="text Exod-25-1" id="bkmrk-fferings-for-the-san">fferings for the Sanctuary and the details of the Ark of the Covenant.</span></span></span>
